Whoever said that animals cannot feel deep love has misunderstood them. A mother’s link with her kids is a prime example of the intense emotions that animals have the capacity for, especially love and loyalty.
Introducing Rookie, a cute puppy who lives with many different animals on a large farm. Rookie, who lost his mother at a young age, looked for a motherly bond and found it in an unexpected friend—a cow that lived on the farm next to him.
Having lost his mother, the small dog took comfort in the barn and made friends with the local cows. Out of all of them, Rookie developed a particularly close relationship with one cow who acted as his adoptive mother.
They played and cuddled in an endless ballet of play and loyalty, the cow letting Rookie rest on her lovely back. For almost two years, they remained inseparable, growing closer daily and forging an unbreakable bond.
But their ideal friendship ended when the farmer, struggling financially, had to sell one of his cows—the exact cow that had grown to be Rookie’s mother figure. Rookie experienced great sadness at saying goodbye to the cow that had taken care of him as if she were her own.
Rookie realized he was being taken away from his surrogate mother and watched in shock as the farmer carried the cow out of the barn to meet its new owners. His eyes sparkled with tears as he started barking nonstop, wanting to stop the whole thing. Rookie complained, but the farmers ignored him and carried through with their agreement.
Rookie’s eyes welled with tears as he observed his surrogate mother led away from the barn. This sight prompted him to exit, driven by the emotions stirred within him swiftly. Sensing that he was in trouble, the cow responded with a bellow, and Rookie followed her pleading cry. Because of his shackled legs, the farmer could not stop Rookie even though he was aware of his pursuit.
A nearby farm bought the cow so Rookie could find her quickly. Their happiness at reuniting at her new barn was short-lived, though, as Rookie’s new owner stepped in to retrieve him and bring him back to his house.
Rookie experienced a great deal of sadness as a result of being cut off from his surrogate mother. He grew listless and lost interest in meals as his sadness over the loss overtook him. He failed to do anything and lived his days by the road, staring meekly toward the cow’s new home and calling out for her.

The farmers changed their minds and repurchased the cow after being moved by Rookie’s loyalty. Rookie was finally reunited with his mother, a moment he had long been waiting for. Imagine his utter happiness upon seeing her again; their friendship strengthened in a touching reunion.
The unwavering attachment between mother and pup persisted even after the farmers encouraged Rookie to mingle and distance himself from the cow. Love, in all its forms, enthralled everyone who saw it.
